Blake joined the firm in 2020, having spent the last 12 years litigating complex workers’ compensation matters at the arbitration, Commission and Circuit Court levels. He has represented employers in the construction, transportation, manufacturing, restaurant, service, entertainment and property management industries. Blake has an additional 20 years of experience defending civil liability and third-party employer personal injury cases and spent three years as General Counsel for a Chicago based expedited freight company. Blake has tried numerous cases at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission as well as state and federal civil court levels, with a proven track record of success.

Blake graduated from Drake University Law School with honors and also served as Notes Editor on the Drake Law Review. He is a member of the Illinois state bar and Federal trial bar for the Northern District of Illinois. Additionally, Blake served from 2016-2019 as an insurance counsel representative for the Illinois Advisory Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute (WCRI), which compiles and analyzes workers’ compensation claim data on a state by state basis.
